The jQuery Hackathon follows the same model as other recent YMC Hackathons involving a series of weekly 60 minute lightning talks as well as the provision of resources and references, culminating in a short, focused Hackathon session.
The specific exercise to be tackled during the Hackathon is still to be determined.
These YMC Hackathons are a great way to challenge yourself, work with a team, and collaborate with other developers and programmers. They also serve as a way to get the feet wet for people who have never participated in a hackathon before.
Participants should have a basic familiarity of HTML and CSS.
Participants are expected to have the following installed on their machine:
- Code editor
- Web browser
- Dropbox account (optional)
A computer / laptop able to run a modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Safari, IE9+), and a code editor (ie. Sublime, Notepad++, Dreamweaver, etc).
